Privacy Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026.
Pedantic Apparel is based in New Orleans, Louisiana. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit pedantic.app, contact us, request email updates, or place an order. Questions or requests can be sent to actually@pedantic.app.
Information you give us
Our contact form sends your name, email address, subject, and message to our inbox. We use that information to respond, not to add you to a mailing list. Please do not send card numbers or other sensitive information through the form.
If you request occasional updates or a product notification, Square maintains your email address and the relevant preference or product identifier. Google Workspace sends product-request confirmations and one-time availability notifications. A product request is separate from general updates. Each product email includes a private removal link; you can also contact us to remove a request. General-update preferences are available through email preferences.
Checkout takes place on Square's hosted checkout. Square processes payment details and order information, including contact and delivery information. We receive the order information needed to fulfill purchases, provide support, handle returns, and keep business records. This website does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
Order lookup uses the order number and last name you submit to verify a match with Square before returning status and shipping details. Orders also contains our shipping, return, and exchange policies.
Browser storage and technical information
We use your browser's local and session storage to remember your bag and interface choices, such as appearance and audio preferences, and to keep navigation working smoothly. This is not an advertising profile. You can remove this information in your browser settings; doing so also clears saved choices and your bag. Session information ends with the browser session, while local storage remains until cleared.
Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. In providing delivery, diagnostics, security, and performance measurements, it may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, and pages requested. Our form protections use short-lived request counters rather than a customer-tracking database. Our application does not deliberately keep raw IP-address lists for this purpose.
We do not use advertising cookies, sell personal information, or use your activity on this site for cross-site advertising. Browser storage used for the shopping bag and requested interface functions is explained here rather than through an advertising-consent popup.
The services involved
Square provides checkout, order records, and email-preference management. Cloudflare provides hosting and security. Google Workspace delivers contact messages and requested product emails, and provides the spreadsheets used to maintain product and sizing information. GitHub stores website source code, not a customer mailing list. Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries under their own policies and applicable agreements.
Social links and other external links take you to services with their own privacy practices. We do not control those services.
Keeping and removing information
We keep correspondence and order records for as long as needed to respond, fulfill orders, resolve issues, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Product notification memberships are removed after a successful availability send or cancellation, with temporary failures retried. This does not delete your Square customer or order records or enroll you in general updates. Workspace keeps limited request and send-status records, without a separate email-address directory, to prevent duplicate notifications and process removal links; completed records are normally cleared after 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to certain uses. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity, and some records may need to be retained for legal reasons. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential messages about an existing order.
Security, children, and changes
We use HTTPS, restricted server-side credentials, and request protections to reduce risk. No website or delivery method can be guaranteed completely secure. This site is intended for a general audience, not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
We will update the date above when this policy changes and provide additional notice where required. You can always reach out with a question about these practices.
